I don't have a cell phone yet but I am getting one soon and I was talking to my parents about it and they said when I get the phone I am not getting texting. So now I need to convince them to let me get texting.

Can you please help me think of some reasons that will convince them to get me texting when I get my phone!?

well my parents told me the only way i was gettin my phone was to pay the bill myself, and thats exactly what i have done. if they dont get you texting and you text anyways, they will eventually get it for you once the bill comes ins.

it will save minutes on your phone
if you get kidnapped, you can text 911 to someone (lol i know it's not a great excuse, but iut is kinda funny)
you can make plans with people easier
you don't disturb anyone when you text
