Default Question for women who are pregnant and like to stay in shape?

How often do you work out? Do you go to a gym and what machines do you use and for how long? Thanks!

i just had my baby, but to stay in shape through 4 pregnancies, i walked 5 miles 3x per week, the other 2 days i did light weights/strength training. lunges and things like that. also, if i needed something different, i would do a pilates for pregnancy dvd.

I just walk three times a week- about 2 miles each time. And do some stretching and leg and ab workouts. Light exercise of course. I worked out a bit before I found out I was pregnant but unfortunately not as much as I should have- and Iw as told I could only do what I did before I was pregnant, nothing more. That's why they say it's best to get in shape if you're planning on geting pregnant, but I was told even walking a few times a week helps tremendously!

I swim three times a week. I do about 50 laps (1.2km) in about 35 minutes. I also do gentle walking for about 30 mins a day and then some yoga for an hour a week to keep things limber. I find its ages before I start the waddling. Generally speaking you shouldn't start any exercise you were not doing before you were pregnant but whatever you were doing before you can probably keep it up till about 24 - 30 weeks then you will have to slow down a bit. Be careful of stretched muscles which are really weak when pregnant and prone to getting over-stretched really fast.
